Teen Advisory Board hosts Halloween Craft

The Library's Teen Advisory Board is a volunteer organization made up of 8th through 12th grade students. They meet monthly to share ideas about programs, events and types of media/media events they would like to see the library host for teens in our area. TAB hosts a holiday craft for The Friends of the Library during their annual costume sale. The funds raised through the sale of these gently used costumes donated by the community are used to support the library and library programs and events. (Pictured above are some of our guest "goblins" with teens Yena Berhane, a new TAB member, Shayla and Najla Boatwright and volunteers Miss Paula and Catherine.) Nearly 100 mini pumpkins, donated every year by Joseph Kuspa of Metro Produce in Eastern Market, were trimmed with eyes, spider wigs, pom-poms and stickers.
